Virtual reality technologies are used in the educational process

Virtual reality is a new concept of using computers and human-machine interface to create the effect of a three-dimensional environment in which the user interacts with virtual objects in an interactive mode, while creating a strong sense of three-dimensional presence.

Virtual reality technologies are widely used in various fields, including medicine. Medical data obtained during the examination of patients are processed in order to create an anatomically accurate way of those parts of the body that can not be directly examined by a doctor. This type of imaging is used in diagnostics, surgical planning and surgical simulation, as well as simulators for medical students.

As part of the work on the international project BioArt Erasmas + for the laboratory of bioelectronics of the Department of CIT, the following equipment was purchased: a virtual reality helmet VIVE Pro CIT, a computer based on CPU I7 9700k and GPU GTX 1080Ti

This equipment is already used in the laboratory workshop on the master's discipline "Virtual and augmented reality technology". Also, the presence of VR equipment allows you to expand the topics of theses.
