REPORT AT THE MEETING OF THE METHODOLOGICAL COUNCIL OF THE DONBAS STATE ENGINEERING ACADEMY ABOUT THE RESULTS OF EXECUTION OF THE ERASMUS + “BIOART” PROJECT
On February 20, 2020, at the meeting of the Methodological Council of the Academy, the Head of the Computer and Information Technology Department professor Dr. Oleksandr Tarasov made a presentation on “Methodolocal Measures for Assurance of Quality Traning of Students During the Pilot Training on ERASMUS + BIOART Project. The report contained information about the results of the ERASMUS + “BIOART” project, effectiveness of teachers’ training in partner countries, creation of laboratories using the equipment and software obtained through the project, as well as the results of the development of courses for training of students of the Academy, their competencies in biomedical engineering and creation of artificial implants.
According to the results of the discussion following the report, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Academy aknowleged that the following directions of methodological work were relevant for the moment: introduction in the DSEA of the experience gained under the “BIOART” project; support for the development of methodological and organizational work to implement the “BIOART” project; improvement of educational and methodological support of medical disciplines and use of computer-oriented technologies during training; study of work experience and technologies of training in foreign universities; use of multimedia and telecommunication means of education, means of web-conferences, social networks, etc.; development of contacts with medical diagnostic centers, hospitals, scientific medical institutions and employers of the region to ensure that the competences of the graduates are in accordance with the needs of this field of activity; attention to practical training of students; meeting demands of enterprises and medical organizations. It was also noted to necessarily develop cooperation with teachers of other universities and staff of research institutes, including those of the medical field, and to improve vocational promotion with schoolchildren to increase the interest of students in the development of IT in medicine.
