On June 2, 2021, the Donbass State Engineering Academy hosted an IT seminar "Innovations based on IT - from outsourcing to the development of competitive products and services" for IT entrepreneurs in Kramatorsk. The event was held within the project "Startup School Sikorsky Challenge: promoting innovative development and entrepreneurship of startups in the target universities of Donetsk and Luhansk regions", which is supported by the USAID Project "Economic Support of Eastern Ukraine".

The eight-hour intensive seminar was conducted by Igor Peer, an international-class business coach, advisor to the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry on startup projects MAOF, board member of the Israeli Business Association, founder and director of BeNextIT Business Incubator (Israel) and co-founder of Chalik Holding.

The first half of the seminar was devoted to the analysis of current trends in the market of IT innovations and the mechanism of development of IT startups. The second half was extremely practical: Igor Peer introduced the seminar participants to his own concept of pre-start marketing and business development, and also offered to practice the tools of starting an IT startup.

Innovative IT ideas for training were real projects of seminar participants: "Virtual class" (project of graduates of the startup school "Sikorsky Challenge Kramatorsk", which took third place in the competition of startups Sikorsky Challenge-2020) and BusyBeaver (project of the Department of Intelligent Systems decisions).

The seminar was actively attended by representatives of the city's IT business, including employees of AREAL, representatives of the Eastern Ukrainian Technocluster and innovation space Pochatok Space, private individuals and freelancers working in the IT field. The event was also attended by students of IT specialties and teachers of IT departments of the Donbass State Engineering Academy. Including students and teachers working within the BioART project.
