WORKSHOP FOR STUDENTS AND LECTURERS OF THE FMAIT AFTER TRAINING IN AUSTRIA AND BELGIUM
Following the training in Austria and Belgium, a seminar for students and lecturers of FMAIT was held on October 15, 2019 as part of the international project ERASMUS + BIOART.
The reports were made by the Head of Computer Information Technology Department, Dr. Oleksandr Tarasov and Senior Lecturer Oleksandr Altukhov.
ТDr. Oleksandr Tarasov spoke about the FMAIT departments’ achievements in elaboration of the curriculum for specialists of medical specialization in the specialty of computer science, and reviewed the list of disciplines and their concise content.

Further Dr. Oleksandr Tarasov made a report about 3D printing technologies. Students were introduced to the modern 3D printing capabilities of various materials used in medicine: plastic, silicone and metal. Such materials and their alloys are used by specialists for the design of implants and medical devices.

Then Oleksandr Altukhov took the floor with reports on modern technologies of regenerative medicine for the prostheses design of the musculoskeletal person’s system, blood purification and developments in the field of various types of sensors: optical, electrical, electro-chemical.

After that the assistant professor of СIT Liudmyla Vasylieva delivered her report about implant manufacturing technology from a workpiece to a finished product and requirements for implants.
